Build confident, clinically grounded skills in lymphatic cupping through this 20-hour, self-paced training that takes you from core science to hands-on application. The course combines interactive online lessons, focused readings, technique videos, and step-by-step practice labs so you can learn thoroughly and on your schedule.

PLEASE NOTE:

This course does NOT train therapists to treat patients with Lymphedema. Participants are educated on the applications of Manual Lymph Drainage pertaining to the pathologies listed below. For courses specific to Lymphedema, please see our Lymphedema Management Seminar (31 hours) or Complete Lymphedema Certification (135 hours).

Course Objectives

This course will assist therapists in developing skills in the study of the lymphatic system: anatomy, microcirculation, and physiology, then progress into the pathophysiology of edema and lymphedema. Along the way, you’ll explore the therapeutic effects and benefits of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), with strong emphasis on screening, safety, and contraindications for both MLD and cupping.

  • Describe lymphatic structure and function and its role in healing
  • Distinguish edema from lymphedema and recognize common clinical patterns
  • Apply lymphatic cupping safely, adapting to client needs and contraindications
  • Perform techniques and complete full treatment sequences
  • Demonstrate mastery through practical assignments and a final Foundations exam

Technique instruction is rooted in Vodder-based methods, including stationary circles, pump, scoop, and rotary strokes, and is reinforced through guided cupping/MLD sequencing. Practice assignments are unlocked in a structured order to help you build competence gradually from abdominal and thoracic protocols to full arm and leg treatment sequences ensuring you can apply what you learn with accuracy and confidence.
