8 Hours - This course includes the main causes of lymphedema, the differentiation between primary and secondary lymphedema, and the various stages of lymphedema. Participants learn the different imaging techniques used for the lymphatic system, the various complications associated with lymphedema and necessary treatment modifications. For patient safety, participants will learn the various contraindications associated with Complete Decongestive Therapy.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define the term “lymphedema”
- Explain the main causes of this condition
- Differentiate between primary and secondary lymphedema
- Identify the various stages of lymphedema
- Describe the different imaging techniques for the lymphatic system
- Identify the various complications associated with lymphedema
- Identify the various contraindications associated with Complete Decongestive Therapy
Participants must click through the entire presentation and at the end of the course, there is an exam that must be completed with a 90% or better. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be able to print your certificate of completion.
