Main Menu Screen

Upon starting the ACOLS program, the user is presented with the main menu screen. From the main menu the user can choose 1 of the following 4 options:

Enroll New Patient

The Enroll New Patient screen is to be used to enter the patient's personal information
To enroll a new patient click on the New Patient button from the Main Menu

  • Click on the appropriate fields and type in the information (i.e. First Name, Last Name, Address etc.)
  • Select a state from the list in the dropdown box
  • Select the affected limb by clicking on the arrow and selecting it from the dropdown box
  • Click on "Enroll" to save the patient information
  • To cancel without saving the information click on the "Cancel" button.

 

 An error box will appear if the user does not fill in a particular field. The user can click the
"OK" button and fill in the field in question.

Select Patient

In order to select a patient, perform the following steps from the Main Menu:

Current Patient Data

The Current Patient Data will take the user to the Patient Manager section where the following tasks
can be perfomed:

When the user clicks on the "Current Patient Data" button a list of patients will appear. Highlight the patient
and click on the "Get Patient" button to retrieve the patient information. The system will retrieve the patient
information and route the user to the Patient Manager screen.

Patient Manager

The Current Patient Data will take the user to the Patient Manager->1. Visit Record section. In the Patient
Manager section section the user can perform the following tasks:

Modify Patient

In order to modify patient information perform the following steps from the Main Menu:

  • Click on the Current Patient Data option
  • Select the patient from the Patient list and click on "Get Patient" button
  • Once on the Patient Manager screen, click on the "Modify Patient" button


While in the modify screen the user will be able to modify the patient's personal information. To save the changes
select the "Modify" button. Clicking on the "Cancel" button will exit the modify patient information screen and will
discard the changes.

Progress Data

The Progress Data tab is used by the therapist to run a progress report on the current patient. It will show the
therapist a graphical analysis of the patient progress. The Progress Data report can be accessed through:

 

    • Current Patient Data->Select Patient->Progress Data
  • From the Top Menu options

 

    • Report->Progress Data->Select Patient

New Visit
To start a new visit click on the "New Visit" button. If this is a new patient, the user will have to fill in the marks
for the uninvolved limb before filling in the marks of the involved limb. Once all marks have been filled in, the user
needs to select a therapist from the dropdown list. If the therapist name is not in the list, type in the therapist name
in the "Therapist Name" field(1). Click on the "Save" button (3) to save the data. To exit the visit screen without
saving the data, click on the "Cancel" button(2).

Enrolling a Therapist
In order to enroll a new therapist, the user can type the therapist name in the dropdown box (1), before saving
(3)the visit information.

Modify Visit

To modify an existing visit select the visit from the visit record by pointing the mouse and click on the particular
visit. Select the "Modify Visit" button (1). This will enable the user to make changes to the marks previously
recorded. Once the changes have been made, click on the "Save" button to the record the changes.

Delete Visit

To delete an existing visit select the visit from the visit record by clicking on the particular visit, and selecting the
"Delete Visit" button(2). The user will be presented with a confirmation box before the visit will be deleted.
Clicking on the "No" button will cancel without deleting the visit. To delete the visit click on the "Yes" Button.

Visit Comparison

Follow the following steps to view a visit comparison for a particular patient. From the Main Menu:

  • Click on the Current Patient Data option
  • Select the patient from the Patient List and click on "Get Patient" button
  • Once on the Patient Manager screen, click on first visit to be compared
  • Hold down the "CTRL" button and click on second visit to be compared against the first visit
  • The "Visit Comparion" (3) button will appear next to the "Help" button
  • Click the "Visit Comparion" button

The information will be displayed in a window box. To close box click on the "Exit" button

Exit Main Menu

The "Exit Main Menu" button will close the "Main Menu" screen. This will enable the top Menu Bar and the
icon navigation:

Delete Patient

Perform the following steps to delete a patient from the ACOLS program:

  • From the Main menu click on Exit Main Menu
  • From the Menu Bar click on Patient Manager
  • Click on the "Delete Patient" menu option
  • Select a patient from the patient list and click on the "Get Patient" button
  • A confirmation box will appear. To exit without deleting the patient click on the"No"
    button. To delete the selected patient click on the "Yes" button

Exit Application
To exit the ACOLS application, click on the "Exit Application" button from the Main Menu screen or select "File"
and click on "Exit" from the Menu Bar. This will terminate the ACOLS program.

Setup Printer
To setup the printer in the ACOLS program the user needs to exit the Main Menu. Click File->Setup Printer.
The user can choose a different printer, set properties, orientation etc. Click on the "OK" button to exit printer setup screen.

Report
The Report menu option has 2 reports:

  • Patient List - prints out all patients currently enrolled into the system
  • Progress Reports - prints the progress information for a particular patient

Icon Navigation Options
The user has several icons that can be used to navigate through the program.

Patient List

The patient list report list all patients enrolled in the ACOLS system.

Once the report is finished it will display all patients enrolled in the system. To print the list click on the printer
icon (2). To exit the report screen click on the "X" (1).
